I have an Asus M50VM-X1, with a GeForce 9600M GS. I went to http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=20271 and got the new forceware 177.92 drivers and the Modded .INF file so I could use the new drivers on my graphics card.

Here is the problem: When I run the installer, at the end it says "The system has not been modified. You can run this installer again at a later time."

I know for a fact tha the drivers didnt install, since it says I still have 175 forceware drivers.

Why wont these new ones install??? There are others out there with the same computer that have gotten them to work!

First, uninstall the old drivers, second, make sure you actually replaced the old .INF with the modded .INF

If you read the posts on the LV2G forums for the 177.92, a lot of people with various setups are having the same problem. MobilenVidia(moderator) has modded the modded INF a few times since the 177 series has come out due to whatever issue. Some people can install the driver fine and others cannot, with the exact same system. I was one who could not. Just for kicks, I took the INF out of the driver I was currently using and put it in the 177.92 folder. It installed then, but it wasn't any better than my HP specific driver that I was using, so I reverted back.

I got it to work. It was a problem with the "Official" and "UnOfficial" download. The unofficial one from LV2G worked after I tried it again.

    Thanks guys!
