Whoops, guess I am going to have to back track. It doesn't seem to show a Vista-32 bit download, only a Vista x86, Vista x62, and XP 86.

But in the Operating System, it says Vista 32-bit, am I missing something?

I'm guessing they typo'd it or something.
Its probably only for x62 and x86 right now than.
    That sucks.

Wel first run of GTA IV, was slow to start, then when it loaded up, screen froze, and flashed green pixels, so I had to do a re-boot.

Second start up, loaded perfect, and seems to be running fine for me so far.

Third time, same as the second time. Booted fine, and runs smooth.

    Only time will tell though!

So it works fine on GTA4, but any performance gain vs earlier drivers, say 180.84?

I'd like to have more people try the drivers out to see if it's generally good.

Still waiting for better drivers and more GPU support from Nvidia.

In my case? Yes, it was for me. But I have only been using it for a little bit, so I am not gonna fully guarantee that it will fix any bugs/crashes that you may have.

In all honesty, it really can't hurt to try it out. It's not like you can't go back. ;)

    As someone else mentioned:

    Vista x86 = Vista 32 bit
    Vista x64 = Vista 64 bit
    XP x86 = XP 32 bit

Ya, I figured it out. Didn't know x86 mean 32-bit. Learn something new every day.

"x64" is x86 too though, so that usage annoys me :D

Out of curiosity, why use a modded inf file? Why not just install the drivers direction from Nvidia.com? (Through device manager.)

Nvidia doesn't support laptop graphics cards by default so a modded inf is required.

Nope, just install the drivers through the device manager. Should work just fine.

    since when is x64 also x86? last i checked, x64 (64-bit) requires 64-bit drivers. not 32-bit (x86) drivers.

and using the modded inf file allows us to use the nvidia desktop drivers on our laptops, as generally nvidia is a bit behind the times when it comes to releasing laptop video drivers.

x86 doesn't imply 32-bit. That whole nomenclature is kind of messed up. x86 could be if I'm remembering right, 8-bit, but certainly 16-bit, 32-bit, or now 64-bit. I'm just nitpicking, but it's sort of like someone asking if they want to get a car, or a chevy...except different :D

Yeah, but you can just force the drivers to install without modded inf files. I just don't understand why people resort to third party software that caries at least a theoretical risk.
