Anyone playing this (or at least watching it)?

Imo, this game looks quite interesting. It is currently in development, and though their Kickstarter failed, it will still be released (and is currently available for pre-order).

    Game Features
    ▪ Class Based
    ▪ MMO Style Abilities
    ▪ Even Playing Field for All Players
    ▪ Skill is the Only Determining Factor in Victory or Defeat
    ▪ Zero Grind
    ▪ Meaningful Progression and Customization Without Violating Any of the Above

It looks really interesting, but even after watching the gameplay footage I'm not quite clear on whether there is hit detection, or whether combat is auto-target like most MMOs.

It is an interesting concept but I agree with moviemarketing on the really odd combat system. It could be pretty good if it is more of a GW2 thing where it is not all auto-target on every skill you cast.

Forge does use hit-detection, and abilities are manually aimed (just like in an fps). There is no tab or auto-targeting. On the official site, Forge is described as "a class based multiplayer shooter set in a distinct fantasy universe".

Also, is there a way to edit the title of this thread (to make it less vague/confusing)?

After watching this total biscuit gameplay / chat with the developer, I got a better understanding of how the game will work.

It seems they are going for something along the lines of TF2 matches, with hit detection and physics, but using fantasy themed classes with interesting abilities, as well as some sort of progression where you can learn new abilities after playing X number of matches. Looks really interesting and I'm surprised their Kickstarter failed. I'm sure it will eventually come to Steam.

Yep! I believe the expected release date is December 1st, though it could always change.

Heh, sorry. I'm pretty used to using fps to refer to all shooters. The title is also hilariously wrong rofl (third person first person shooter?). Apologies! :(

Yeah, no worries, no harm done, I got a good laugh out of it. Now I'm just waiting for someone to talk about a turn-based RTS game ;)
