I do (I have all versions sadly >_<)
The original Dooms are the only ones that play on my pc, Doom 3 won't play (But who gives a ****, huh?)
-
yar. Beats the hell out of doom 3 thats for sure!
Have you seen that a group made a doom mod for doom 3? I can't remember if they had the whole first episode, or a bunch of levels from the first episode, but it was really good.
Pretty accurate remake. -
I played 12 player Doom 1 a few months ago. It multiplies the enemies by the number of players, so it was insane. The last level... so many enemies I was only getting 30fps on my old machine.

Heres my 2 cents
Diablo 2 > any doom game but thats just me -
Doom 3 & SWAT 4 has the best adrenaline effects for me. I feel like my actual life is on the line

Doom 3 won't play? Huh? I envy you...... -
Hell, I still play Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold (by ID, based on the wolf3D engine) That's ancient even by Doom standards. =p
-
lol i used to play doom 1 but then i beat it without codes and then couldnt find the file for doom 2 that game me more then 16 colors!
so if anyone has any idea how i can get a "normal" vertion of doom 2 PM me thanks -
Still play Doom and Doom 2 on my phone sometimes, but not on my pc...
Wolf 3D, I think that's a far better game, especially when its so insanely easy to mod... -
If you have the original WADS, try the J-doom engine. Runs and looks good on just about anything that runs Open GL, from a M-4 on up.
I got about 10,000,000,000 third party levels and mods to go.... -

I play Doom and Doom 2 on the Doomsday engine. Hi-res textures and 3D models for everything. Looks better than Quake 2 and even parts of Quake 3.
Old games but still a heck of a lot of fun and I'd agree, better than Doom 3.
But I do love Quake 4 and Doom 3 (more Quake 4). Gorgeous games, and Quake 4 is actually, in my opinion, a good game. -
Yeah, Quake 4 is awesome (Although the engine sucks). I love the storyline...
-
I have enjoyed Q4. I may load it on my laptop just to see how it plays with 2 cores.

I played the original Doom last year since it's included on the D3 collectors edition for xbox. It was fun for about 15 minutes but I must confess to being spoiled by the graphical eye-candy of the new generation games. I've tried some of the PC mods but they just don't seem to cut it for me. I wouldn't have thought of a 360 degree field of view when I first became addicted to the original shooters but it really adds to the overall immersion factor.

I got Doom on the X360. I also have it on the Doom 3 collectors edition. I found the one on the X360 very enjoyable. Kinda disappointing that they didn't add any hi-res graphics or anything like the PC ports have done.
Oh and I have all the original WAD files. ZDoom used to work quite well. Don't know what is still out there for pc mods anymore.
EDIT: Checking out Zdoom.org. Looks like they are still working on it. Wonder if they got support for "Strife: Blade of the Sigil" working. I know they had to implement some stuff but preliminary support was in the version I have right now (2.0.63a)..... Yep. it works. Latest version is 2.1.6 and they must of finished the support for Strife. -
I would crak up;
Order Status: Confirmed // In-production | Playing Doom 1 / Playing Doom 2, ok ok // Boxing...
The wait is always the worst part...
Forget About Diablo... Who still plays Doom (not Doom 3)?
