So a friend of mine gifted me TF2, but I already have it on my steam account (through Orange Box)

I want to give this to my brother as a gift, and I want to know how to do this

The e-mail is in my inbox, but I haven't redeemed it
Is there anyway I can forward it to my brother?

    Thanks

That involves the person actually buying the game

I have been gifted a game I own and want to know how I can forward the gift on to my brother

DOH. Misread. Give me a sec.

Try forwarding the email to your brother and see if that works.

I believe if you are gifted a game, you cannot gift that to another person. The original person who gifted it to you will have to gift it to the person you want. Maybe I am wrong.

I thought about that, but I don't know if my friend would want to do that and it might sound bad

I'll give this a go since it was e-mailed to me

Was given the impression that the gift is tied with the activation code in the email, and not to the email account it was sent to.

Right. I can't imagine that you can't forward a gift to someone else if you already own the game. I would ask in the Steam forums. It won't matter if you forward the email.

Yep, you can forward emailed gifts, since the actual activation link is in the email itself, as long as you don't activate it yourself. ;)

That's how I gave a bunch of TF2 gifts back when they were $2.50...I bought 6 copies or so, and sent them all to one of my email accounts, and then when I gave one away, I would just forward it to the recipient. ^_^
