A question; since they no longer sell this version of the Asus G1S (the new ones they sell have a Penryn processor and a 9500 GS instead, and are also cheaper.), if they were to replace it I would assume they'd send me one of their new models?

Well this is great; now I also have a yellow line running down the right side of the screen, which I had before and then went away randomly.

This Asus computer has truly been horrid for me.

Well ASUS told me to update the BIOS, which of course was already updated, and completely ignored my question about my screen. Guess it's getting sent in to be repaired/replaced this summer :\ Anyone ever sent an out of date machine to Asus for that, and if they replace it, would it be replaced with the G1Sn?

You'd probably have to send it in multiple times for the same problem before you get another laptop. They're going to do everything they can to repair it, first.

Well the screen needs to be replaced because of the yellow line (I'm sure they will find some way to wiggle out of doing it for free), graphics card needs to be fixed, and so does my microphone port (another thing that stopped working).

That's pretty rubbish. I'd get on the phone to Asus and get really angry, kicking up a massive fuss and not lying down can helpo get what you want. Nasty but true.
