Here's what I'd like to add:

America's Army is a game that tries to combine First-Person Shooters with as much realism as you can get on a computer. The result is a realistic, albeit slightly slow-paced game. The maps against the AI are pretty challenging and there are plenty of humans vs. humans maps.

UrbanTerror is a Quake III mod that uses real weapons but does not aim to be uber-realistic. The fast paced game combined with a good variety of weapons and the fact that it is based on the free ioQuake3Arena build of Quake III makes it worth a shot.

Trackmania Nations is a free racing game with several one-player challenge tracks and a pretty solid online competition mode. The fact that cars do not collide (instead you see "ghosts of your competitors") means that you don't need a super-fast connection to play normally.

I HIGHLY reccoemnd Wolfenstein Enemty Territory. That game provided me with soo many fun times.

 

FEAR Can be played without internet and with just LAN network.

 

I dont think so, when you run setup you have to log on to ubi before it will install. Thats when you get the error.

You'll be able to play GTA 2 for sure... It's 2D.

 

Possibly the best same machine game I've ever played - so incredibly fantastic, not to mention addictive.
