    as far as free rpgs go, maple story is probably the most popular, though it does have a 2d, cartoonish interface. it's cute.

    hmm, they use invitation code now? unfortunately I don't have one.. I played it back in open beta days. It's quite fun, nice graphics.

    The invitation code is for the closed beta I thought. The open beta is to begin on the 14th I believe, so just a few more days :)

    yeah i second that, i used to be an addict for it. Not graphicaly intensive at all but still really good fun

    A little further down the page You see a text saying: 'Downloading the game client'. Press the first blue image with a .exe and download ;)

    be warned, the game gets addicting. you'll either love it or hate it.. but many dismiss it because it's 2-D... but I like it because of the fact that you actually control your characters movement (and jumping), instead of pointing and clicking. It plays like a platformer with RPG elements.

    There's always Ultima Online on free servers. Good population on a few of them considering many people despise what EA has done to the game.
