Is there a PC Game out there like this besides Oblivion and has extreme graphics? Because i'm always fascinated with level grind, i always appreciated it but most of the RPG players out there don't like respawning and all that. :(

Borderlands? It's a pseudo RPG, and almost everything low-level eventually respawns...

Thanks for that link, hopefully these guys release the mod before being overlooked due to Skyrim's release.

Are you not into MMO's? because it sounds like they are perfect for you if you are into the grinding.

Bah MMO has monthly fee though.

There are enough free games out there (of course there are free MMO's as well but most of them suck)

Id recommend Phantasy Star Online/Universe to you if you do want to go the MMO route though, its a long grind to get lvl 200 and get the best gear and its been my favorite MMO and the only one I enjoyed grinding because you meet good friends and it has lots of cool rares and stuff to hunt (that you do not need a raid for you can solo or use a small party) infact that is why I like PSO so much is how it uses a hub to join parties so its easy to find or start a game without having to be super involved with some kind of guild/clan and devoting long periods of time to a game.

Hey guys... Just got this game called "Borderlands".
It's a pretty awesome free roam FPS RPG game, you should try it.
Oh BTW it supports multiplayer too.

BorderLands will give you a headache with his insanely stupid loot drop system. And while it is somewhat open ended, the fact that it will take you 5 mintues to kill any ennemies 2 level higher than you makes it pretty linear.

Good game, but not on par with monthly fees mmo or bethesda games in terms of infinite gameplay and exploration.

    Are you into Dungeon Crawlers?
Try Dungeons of Dredmor and Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup?
Try Fallout 3/New Vegas, you can get graphic mods, and they're both really nice games. People say it's like Oblivion with guns, but I believe it's something more :D

The mechanic is oblivion with guns, but the story and the setting are both deeper and more evocative.

Diablo 2 all the way. Way smaller than Oblivion, but the great combat makes up for it. You can play it with friends for a better experience.

Yeah Diablo II is THE game to play if you like grinding for levels and loots (it takes months to get to level 99 even online, also some items have such low chances of dropping that you might play the game for your whole life without seeing it drop).

Going to have to throw in a recommendation for Two Worlds 2, excellent game that I'm currently fully engrossed in, story can be a little hard to follow and disjointed but the land masses are huge with horse racing, house buying, tons of quests included killing killer umbrellas (yes you read that right). Gameplay wise its about 40 hours long I think but also contains a whole different area for multiplayer in co-op.

I have to agree with the above posters, Fallout 3 is truly an excellent game, especially when you throw in some mods as well (wanderers edition etc). Due to its age you should be able to pick up GOTY edition very cheap :)

Although some mob kills are permanent, most beasties respawn so there's always something to kill ;)

A free roam RPG with non-ending respawn of monsters......Sounds like something that the Koreans would make.

    HATE re-spawning with a passion !

If your going to put it in a game, how 'bout making it viable.........e.g. An alien queen, in an undergroud lair, laying millions of eggs that hatch and are deadly in 15 minutes........until you locate said alien Queen and lay some Predator kung fu on her a$$ !

Far Cry 2 respawning was the worst I have ever experienced in a game, kill some guys at a checkpoint and come back five minutes later to find them completely unharmed
