Some of you may or may not have read in the Dell forums that I was finally able to convince Dell to send me a 7900 GS replacement card for free. Read Here

So on my old 7800 Go, i could maybe get 1.5-2 hours battery life fully charged. So I after I charged up my lappy fully after installing the new video card, the battery thing said time was unavailable, so I was like ok cool. Put it in hibernate and went about my day.

So I just turned it on and the battery like said 3:13!! ANd it didn't drop from that to something a lot lower.

The 7900 GS is the most amazing card ever for it's high end graphics and low low voltage.

The Go7900GS is a very power-efficent card; only 20W for TDP. It also runs much cooler as a result. 2.5 --> 3:13 is a large jump.

It is an amazing card! It also uses less than half the power (if I recall correctly) as the 7900GTX, but has been overclocked to 7900GTX speeds. This is the card that I'd like to see in smaller notebooks... 15.4" ones. ;)

With my 9 cell battery I generally get between 2.5 to 3 hours of battery life depending on what I am doing.
