Was gonna do a review but its really not worth it. Plus I have exams. Its a mediocre game. Its like battlefield but nothing special. I played a bit now and then, didn't really get me hooked.

I played the demo on my Xbox 360 its ok. Probably more geared towards console audience than PC.

I wouldn't say it's mediocre, but definitely not anything amazing, but still pretty solid. Remember Kaos Studio has a lot of Trauma Studio members (they brought the Desert Conflict to us) and also worked on BF2.

Graphic wise it's pretty solid, not like COD4 but when you look at how vast the terrain is its fairly impressive. With a little bit of destructive environment the Unreal Engine 3 is hard at work here.

There are some fun game items like the drones and other "role" perks, once again this isn't the be all of shooters but good, and it does have its own flavor, even if it's a familiar one.

For me it's great though because I have mostly 360 friends and It's the closest to the BF2 type experience that I can share with them. By this I mean very large maps with many players (online).

I'm going to kick my COD4 to the curb, I like it but the map aren't used well and are a bit small for my liking. If there was a ctf game it could have been a different story. Too much frag festing, maybe an add on will change this, but right now, not my style too little tactic usage.

The sound design is fantastic though, you actually see the explosion before hearing it. Finally someone did this right.

I'm interested to see how the 50 player servers work out, as well as what kind of update the game gets, because it looks like the developers are listening to feedback.

Remember this is all for me on my 360, on my PC probably not. Better options there I think.

Yea definitely a Console pick-up I think its cross platform if I remember correctly maybe wrong though.

Console gamers only will love it. I just recently got into PC gaming (1 1/2 weeks) since I got my 9262. I see the difference between audiences just in that little time.

No cross platform, but I think will be under the "games for windows" title.

I installed and played for a while last night and had a lot of fun. Sometimes a brainless shooter is pretty cool. I do like the UAV and radio controlled rotary gun. Nice change of pace. Online looks like it could be a lot of fun too. I love BF2, but looking for a slight change of pace, and this might be it!

edit: Oh, and it runs well at 1280x800 with high settings (set "optimize framerate"), approx 25-30 fps says FRAPS.

funny this game...i thought it was going to be worthless...but when i got bored of call of duty i went ahead and downloaded the multiplayer demo on my 360 and after getting the hang of it, it turned out to be a pretty addictive game. much like bf2 hence the dang vehicles lol and the large maps...but overall its a really good change of pace as everyone was saying, the little uav's and the rc mini choppers are really fun to use...because when your flying a kamikaze one in to someones face, they panic sometimes and their aim goes crazy...its really very entertaining =p

    ~thanks

Its okay, more like a close futuristic version of BF2, not 2142. The game is more towards the console since most console users never really experience a 32 player match on consoles. There are this and that issues, but the overall experiences will last awhile. Graphics aren't that fancy but it'll do.

I don't know how people can say it's "OK" gameplay with "OK" graphics. I think its spectacular. Been having fun. Not real happy with weapons effects to some extent. Shoot a dude in the head, he should die, but its like it takes 'X' number of hits to kill a guy. That could be improved. Hopefully headshots are modeled better in multiplayer.

Hit accuracy and damage zones, are a bit wonky sometimes, but these are relatively easy to fix.

A big amount of the complainers still don't realize the idea of having to lead a target, I'm still trying to work out the performance differences between weapons. A design sheet would be great, but of course not till they patch up all the things they're looking to tweak.

The real great thing is over at Kaos's forum for the game, developers are directly asking for feedback and user suggestions.
It's also nice to see that they built in features to allow the game to grow, like the fact that even though there is only 1 game type there is an option area to change it, suggesting more will be added later.

Good that developers are listening. I'll have to visit and give my input. But about the "game type", BF2 had only one game type since launch with an option to change it, but nothing ever surfaced, so don't get your hopes up too much.

I do hope they fix the damage zones though. That gets annoying.

Definately have some crashing/ bugs to work out, but other than that have no complaints

htwingnut, are you playing the game on your Vostro 1500?

I really want to try out Frontlines, but I may just wait for the demo to come out in 2 weeks.

I don't have high expectations, as it looks like a glorified version of BF2. If it's even close to the same game as BF2, I won't be disappointed since I love next-gen graphics and huge maps with vehicles.
