Most of the reviews I’ve seen say it’s horrible

    ???
It doesn't look like my cup of tea, but Steam users seem to like it.

    Played 1hour-ish yesterday.

The sound is a bit on the bugged side, lots of random noise when opening tooltips, its like the game can't stream the sound files in time to use them, and it hammers my SSD RAID0, its only SATA SSD's, and the game is some 5GB I dont understand what is going on about that, the game looks good-ish, but I like to play zoomed out, so the high detail when zoomed in is a bit pointeless for me.

So far, there isn't all that much to do, follow tool-tips/objectives, press fast forward till they are done, rinse, repeat, its a bit boring to be honest, but its only the first hour of game play, I was like at day 4-5, things will change given what I have already read, but the game seems to be still packed with bugs, so not sure about it being worth the 30€.

The problem with Steam reviews is that half are kids trying to be edgy/funny/meme-lords, so I dont give them much value..

I really like it. But like, 1 playthrough is enough for me.

Finished the first and second scenarios on my 2nd try for each. This game is a piece of cake compared to They Are Billions.
But the story and the world are both really nice, it's pretty engaging. Sacrificing a child in order for the generator not to blow up, little details like that.

If They Are Billions's Survival mode and Frostpunk's campaing got together and had a child it would be the perfect survival strategy game

Gotta screenshot something for that reddir karma.

But agreed. From the limited amount I've played, there are still quite a few issues with the UI to iron out.

The game's full of little details like this:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Frostpunk/comments/8gwoge/cannibalism_is_still_in_the_game/

It really is an awesome world they put together. Gameplay is fun and addictive but there's not much in terms of replay value. Only if you really want to try the hardest difficulty levels or different paths of rulling your people.

If you liked Frostpunk give They Are Billions a shot, I think I liked it even more. It's still in early-access, only has a survival mode, but a campaign will soon follow.

Anoter cool RTS coming out rn is Northgard, haven't tried that one yet.

Will probably give all of those another look, though may let them sit on a back burner for a while.
