I purchased my new Dell E1705 for the express purpose of replacing, and significantly upgrading from, my old desktop. I have moved all my games (in other words, my life) onto this notebook. My fave is MVP Baseball 2005, which only supports three 4:3 resolutions. However, my widescreen laptop automatically stretches it to fit the 16:9 screen. At first I didn't notice, but as a couple of innings went by I started to notice jerky animations, especially when the ball is thrown across the diamond to get someone out. Is there a way to make the game render in 4:3 resolution with the black bars on either side?

Well, if you have the 7900gs go to the nvidia control panel, there should be an option for flat panel scaling in the display menu, where you can select use nvidia scaling with fixed aspect ratio to maintain the 4:3 scale. It should be relatively similar for the x1400 or gma, just go into their respective control panels and find an option to keep the ratio.
