I know some sites have the GMA rank higher than the X1100

but how is the performance in more modern FPS'es.

    And general overall performance.

Eg, does it run COD4, how it performs in Combat Arms etc.

    Both support TnL <- AFAIK

And yes, I've searched for old topics but none have the questions/answers I need..

    Thanks

    The X3100 supposadly can run COD4 @ 640 x 480 all low with poor performance, the X1100 can't do even that;
Both are VERY poor for gaming and will not even run most modern games.

You can play combat arms a bit, but junk flea lags too bad, most places do, and if you get smoke, you get a black screen.

May I ask, why can't the X1100 run Cod 4 at all?

Is that with the GMA X3100 or Radeon X1100?

    Thankyou all!

I tried playing COD4 on my X1150 and I got less than 10fps and looked more like a slideshow. I even tried to OC it to 500mHz, but still with no avail, although you can get 20fps indoors.

The X1100 is not powerfull enough to play COD4 and IMO you'd need at least a HD3450 or 8400m GS to play the game comfortably(even though the game will run on some weaker cards).

If these are your only 2 choices then go for the X3100, but you'll only be able to play older games comfortably with it.

X3100 with the aid of configs and Vista can run CoD 4 playably. Considering how great the game is online, thats more than enough

wow, what is your budget? You know that an 8400M GS, 8600M, isn't that difficult to get a hold of for a good price, right?

I have the X1250 integrated.... it is not a gaming card, can't run Cod4 at the lowest resolution and settings.

Pity - if you could stretch it to nearly $1000 AUD you could get a Vostro with an 8400M....or an extra $50 will get you an Asus N10 with a 9300M...I have seen footage of the N10 playing COD4 ;)

At least you would have dedicated graphics....

What would be the difference between X3100:X4500?

Is the Nvidia Dedicated 9300GS 256mb a decent chip?
