Hey i was wondering which one of the two is better, it'll also be good if i could have a comparision of these 2 with the go 7200, since i can't find its specs on Nvidia website. I am not a gamer but i do play games once is a while, not on regular basis though. I will be using cad/cam software, not really heavy ones, just for normal designing, due to which i am not sure if i should go for any of these 2. I also saw on some websites that GMA X3100 supports directx 10 but other say it doesnt so if someone could clearify that as well. I know they are both not very powerful, but would still like to know which one i should go for, if i buy a laptop with one of these.
    Thanks

You want dedicated for CAD, even if it's light stuff. Can you find anything with an 8400 or better?

The Go 7200 is a joke, the X3100 is probably more powerful.

I would say the Go 7400, because the X3100 is worse than ATi's X1300. And the 7400 is a whole lot better than that.

Why not go with 8400M GS? What type of laptop are you considering?

i am considering hp 6300 series laptops, hp was going to release 6500 with better specs this month but looks like they dropped the idea as i saw a page with 6500 on hp uk website for about 20 days from start of this mmonth after which they deleated the page so i dont think they're going to be releasing 6500 in europe or atleast not in UK, i have just found another one though with go 8700, that looks good http://www.rockdirect.com/viewNotebook.php?pName=XTREME%20770
