Which one is more new and will perform better?

My friend has a GMA900 and has gotten Combat Arms (TnL required) to play.

Whilst on my dads Eeepc 1000HD(1024x600 reso) with a GMA950 will not run it.

    It will say something liike:

"needs directX 9.0 or higher and a graphic card that supports TnL"

AFAIK, both of those chips don't support TnL.....

Why does it work on a GMA900 and not GMA950? Is it due to resolution problems; if so, the error doesn't mention anything like that.

    PS:
I forgot to mention that my friend has had it both running on XP and Vista.

Whilst my dad's eeepc is XP.

    Good lord.

Anyways, the GMA950 is ?half a generation newer than the GMA900.

    Try upgrading the drivers.

Also, is your friends GMA900 in a desktop?

    edit: doesnt the 1000HD have a GMA900?

Just as I thought, the GMA950 would be logically newer than GMA900!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that both of these chips are in laptops!

I will try and update the drivers as soon as I can... BUt I don't know where to get them

    Thx for ur reply

What's the difference between the 1st and 2nd drivers in the Intel website?

They look exactly the same, I've checked the read me and release notes... yet one is slightly bigger...
