My buddy and I have simliar machines... I have the Turion X2 1.6ghz with the Nvidia 6150Go chipset.... he has the Intel Core Duo 1.6hz (NOT core 2 Duo) with the GMA950 chipset. In Vista my score is 2.4 where his is 3.1. I thought the 6150Go was a faster chipset? Why is mine slower in Vista? Ive ran into other ppl with the same problem. I have the latest updates for everything. Thanks for any input. I feel I should be getting better performance out of this. We both also have 1gig of memory and i have a faster hard drive.

Who knows , but the 6150 is better.

Its the drivers. Nvidias Vista drivers are still not upto par. The stock drivers crashed couple of times on my system while I was just surfing the web. The latest version(98.15) seems to be bit more stable. In any case, WEI is not really indicative of the performance of a GPU.

Your Vista score is based on the lowest sub score. In your case, your lowest score is your graphics card. As for why your Nvidia GPU has a lower score, I'm not exactly sure why; I haven't kept up with the latest video cards. I do know that his score isn't a mistake. I also have a score of 3.1 on my Macbook which uses the same GMA 950 chipset.

So what are you guys getting with the Nvidia 6150?

Run some actual games (ie: not synthetic benchmarks) and see where the two stack up.
I don't have XP, so I can't chime in on this one. -
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the NVidia drivers; on my SZ460, Vista gave a score of only 3.6 for the GeForce 7400, which doesn't make sense (it was only .3 points above the graphics score it gave when switching it to integrated graphics mode).
Once NVidia gets the Vista drivers sorted out, you should see your Vista graphics scores improve. -
Make sure you've updated your BIOS. Set the 6150 to 128 MB. Default on mine was 64.

Sorry for the multiple post, but upping the memory to 128 raised my Vista score from 2.something to 3.0.

um
A turtle is faster than a snail.
But who cares because its still too slow. -
I get a score of 3.0 in Vista with my Turion X2 and a Go6150

First, the Drivers.
Also, Vista requires some certain abilities of the GPU, for example it doesn't need Lighting. But in the real-life benches, I assure you 6150 is better than GMA 950.
GMA950 beats Nvidia 6150Go?
