I just got my new laptop, the HP dv9223tx. It has a Go7600. Is this card DX 10 compatible? The dxdiag shows i HAVE dIRECTx10. I always thought DX10 was a new technology and DX10 cards are different from older cards.

No it's not dx 10 compatible, if you have vista you have dx 10 and dx9 software but your go 7600 only supports dx 9

I thought so as well on mine, dv9207us, but alas like my fellow 2 other posters above it's dx9 only, wonder why they put that in as dx10? Vista?

99% of the current notebook's graphics do not have DX10 chips inside them.

Just cuz u have DX10 and your card only supports DX9 doesnt really mean much unless a game you are running utilises DX10. You will find most games are based on older directX versions (DX9 now) so DX10 with a DX10 card is only going to matter IF and when a game comes out optimized for DX10
