Looks like GOG Galaxy 2.0 is available to try out.
Just downloaded it, curious to see how it will work with Steam.

Still buggy. I've tested it for over 3 months now and the connections to other platforms like steam and origin keep disconnecting and having to do each one manually each time i start GOG galaxy sucks.

Doesn't detect installed games yet ..

    And so on

No majour changes were done in the last month or 2.. only under the hood fixes in the most part.

I didn't notice any of these problems myself. I think I had to re-auth steam once but it's been pretty solid for the past couple-few months at least.

Interesting. Galaxy 2.0 had no problems detecting my Steam library and installed games.
Though I only used it for one evening, so the problems still might come...

Been using it for quite some time and have no issues whatsoever ... Even have battle.net and rockstar store connected and the two are working perfectly.

To be honest, I don't think I will be using launcher feature as it's basically what Steam does with Uplay games - just launches another launcher. I honestly don't see the reason to use one launcher to launch another launcher to launch a game. This was the reason why I stopped buying Ubisoft games on Steam, and just go to Uplay instead. The vast amount of launchers required on PC these days sucks #$%#, but I made my peace and learned to live with the bare minimum (still too much though) I need.

But other people might like this feature, so I guess job well done CDPR. Until other companies start restricting the integrations :D
But I do think some uniformity is needed i.e. how you take screenshots. I played Steam PoE, and G2 overlay doesn't take screenshots, Steam OL does. So to view the screenshots you need to go to Steam... As a matter of fact, you can't view screenshots from Galaxy at all, v2.0 or v1. You need to go to Documents folder through File Explorer.
I hope CDPR will add this feature in the future.

One feature that I do like is that G2 shows games from all your libraries. Not that I don't remember which game I have where (I'm not that senile :D ), but it's nice to have a complete list somewhere.

Speaking of bugs, the above mentioned PoE disappeared from G2 library one time, but showed a second installed Steam game. So far restarting solved the problem.
