Gog is great, Gog is good, now I thank you for our games... Amen.

I like Gog, except that they seem to have slowed down considerably adding titles, and lots of titles that still aren't added. I'm sure it's a legal nightmare though getting the rights to some of these games. But some classics like Starfleet Command, Freelancer, X-Wing v Tie-Fighter, No one lives forever, Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis, etc not to mention hundreds of others, are no where to be seen.

This is where I have a problem with game publishers too. I understand if the publisher is selling the game themselves, but they rarely ever do. In this day and age, why not just allow Gog to sell the classic title and let them manage the sales, etc. People are willing to spend money to buy the games, yet there's no place or way to purchase them. Seems odd that they wouldn't want to make them available.

In any case, good to see the Gog sale coming up. I think I own everything I need so far from there but will keep my eyes peeled. :)

Been grabbing the odd title recently, Planescape Torment today and Far Cry (the best in series IMO) yesterday even though I already have the disc. GoG is amazing for those of us who like old games but don't like optical drives!

Operation Flashpoint was on GOG until recently when Bohemia pulled its catalog from GOG, but under the ArmA Cold War Assault name. Codemasters first had it on GOG in the original title, but had it pulled when the game's rights were handed to Bohemia.

Anyway, it's been a tough year for GOG. They also lost Nordic Games's catalog of 35 games and they had to go through that whole regional pricing mess. I think they might lose more games from the catalog before the year is over, but hopefully things will all work out in the end.

I hope it does work out. They're doing a good thing. ArmA Cold War Assault is $1.19 on Steam. Easy purchase. :D Thanks! Kind of odd how they allow Steam to sell but not Gog.

Wanted to, but I pretty much got what I wanted from what's available on GOG. Gotta work on the backlog if I want to just buy the random game.

    Nope, nada.
Thought about buying a few, but I already have too many. I did buy Red Faction before the sale though.
