    GOW 2 on PC ?

    Just as it says, as I've heard some rumors saying about this, also it was naturally expected whatever they said about not releasing this game on PC :p

    Rumors said that it was expected to be released by December, I think it was IGN that said that....

    So does anyone have any idea about this ?

    I hope so...I have the original Gears for Windows, and I like it better than the Xbox 360 version. I would be a bit disappointed if they kept Gears 2 as 360-exclusive.

    I know common sense dictates that they should release Gears 2 on Windows, CowEatsMe, but the same could be said about the Halo series. They released Halo and Halo 2 for Windows, but not Halo 3, and there are no plans to release it either.

    didn't cliffly say in a interview that they aren't gonna release it on PC because of all the piracy? did he decide that they are gonna release it? it would be awesome if they did.

    if they announce this I'm going to go pick up gears 1 for pc right now. I played them both on my 360 and they were my favorite games but then my 360 broke :(

    Gears 2 is such an amazing game.

    Too bad that so many companies are forgetting their roots when it comes to the PC.

    Yes, they told that they are never releasing any GOW series in PC. All they will is for their Xbox.

    Really enjoyed gears of war on the pc.....abit buggy but the gameplay was topclass..very enjoyable game....id definately pick up the second if it made it to the pc.

    LOLOL WHAT IS THIS HERESY!!!!!!!!

    (coming from the guy that has GoW2 as his profile pic...)

    But srsly, i really hope it comes to PC, i love that game to death. I just hope they don't screw it up like they did with GTA. My three most favorite games (GTAIV, GoW2, halo 3) have either screwed up on PC/Not come to PC. I srsly hope that my 2nd/3rd favorite come to pc bigger and better than ever.

    Cliff Bleszinski can rot in hell. Who is he to turn his back on the PC gamers that got him the position he has now? Where would he be if it weren't for the tremendous success of the Unreal games? And he thanks us by calling us pirates and shutting down development for the PC. Arrogant piece of crap.

    I agree, they should not turn their backs on the PC, it's where they made themselves.

    However, EPIC games is one of the best development houses on the planet.

    We should give them a little slack here. Gears 2 is probably the best game on the 360 right now (maybe apart from GTA4). It's better for them to be making games and making profit, regardless of which platform they choose. All businesses must keep "cost" in mind, and often developing on the PC is simply too expensive to justify it.

    Well I hope the release it for PC. I have it for my 360 but can barely stand playing the game. It lags a lot, there is massive amounts of fps drops and now that I am used to run Gears of War at 60 fps constant that spoils me.

    Gears of War 2 is great but will be even better for PC platform, look better and run better.

    Now I am replaying Gears of War for PC several times and I have tweaked the game to look even better.

    i found gears of war 2 to be obscenely boring...

    i played it with a friend for about 45 minutes, we both said " are we doing this is a waste of time" after like the 80th cutscene (thats almost 2 cutscenes per minute!)

    Nah not any of these games are boring. Some of the best action/tactical FPS I have played for a long time. It is something when I can play the game over and over again, same with Crysis. Not many games gets my attention that much unless they are really good.

    Rayyan check out the screens in this thread of how it looks like for me at least. I have tweaked some settings, not sure if everything has an effect though. But I have tweaked lots of variables and tested.

    I would be surprised if it comes to PC. Unfortunately, it looks as though developers are certainly moving away from the PC and focusing on consoles, PCs are the afterthought such as Ghostbusters for PC coming with absolutely no multiplayer, Grand Theft Auto 4, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Prince of Persia not getting DLC the console versions are getting.

    Its almost certain that the rampant piracy on the PC platform is the root cause of this as well. Don't you PC pirates realize your hurting the very system you supposedly like so much!? :mad:
