I used to have a very easy to install program that showed GPU and CPU temps. I can't seem to locate it now. It wasn't Motherboard Monitor and it monitored the CPU/GPU and I believe the fan too. Easy to install and didn't require me to enter any additional information. Anyone have suggestions?

You can check out other software and how to monitor temps in-game at this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/not...idia-ati-cpu-hdd-do-your-temps-worry-you.html

But as posted above, HWMonitor is good. I use it as well.

The lastest version of HWiNFO32 seems to detect the HD5870 well even on older drivers (G73 GSODs).

You can either download an install file for HWiNFO32 or a zip file that only needs extracting.

I don't know if that has already been done but... Maybe we could make a thread compiling useful software for CPU and GPU monitoring, over/underclocking and so (and maybe make it sticky).

    What do you think?

    ^^ same here
tends to update the program for specific laptop sensors etc, heck we were dumping our ec data for him and ended up with 5 temp sensors on the alienware motherboards... no idea where they are but they're there alright.
