So I tried to overclock my GPUfor the first time yesterday, downloaded MSI Afterburner and furmark for benchmarking. I moved the core clock (and the memory afterwards) slider in increments of 10Mhz while testing with furmark, but no matter how many Mhz up or down i clocked it, i got absolutely no change in performance. I believe the settings are taking effect since rivatuner also notices the change in the core clock when i try to OC through that. What gives?
I have a Nvidia 9800m GT updated with the latest firmware, a 2.53Ghz Duo processor, running windows 7. 4gb ram.
Anyone have any idea whats going on? I cant find anybody with a similar problem on google or these forums!
    Thanks!
    Alex

Which video drivers are you using because that can make all the difference in the world for gpu overclocking. I use Nvidia system tools for that and get pretty good OC'ing results with desktop drivers 190.38 that are bundled along with nforce chipset drivers 15.48. I usually don't like to OC my GPU's though b/c my fsb is already OC'd to 311mhz.

DL a driver from lv2go.com and try OC with it.

Actually, I have the same thing happen with mine. It seems that overclocking the memory seems to make the most difference.
