Please don't post the same thread in two forums . I'll report this one for deletion.

EDIT: This thread's been merged with the other one in the Gaming forum and moved to the Gaming forum now. So yeah, that's done already. Thanks mods!

To report a post, click on the "red and white triangle" icon on the bottom left corner of every post. See that red triangle? Click it and you will be taken to another page where you can detail why the post should be delete or edited. Voila! :)

The original poster posted the exact same thread in this forum as well as the Hardware forum, which is a no-no. The moderators have merged the thread in the Hardware forum with this one now, so it will now appear as one thread.

Nice nice, now the confusion about people thinking the 8700GT can compete with the 7950GTX is gone :)

I will surely wait until there is a 256bit 8800 or 8700GTX before I buy a new notebook.

Has anyone tried handling Lost Planet with a notebook DX10 card? I doubt these middle ranged cards can handle DX10 that good overall, it's scary.

Nice but a little disappointed. I was expecting some in-game performance facts (such as how many frames rate per second for different games for each card) which they didn't say anything about...

No but you can figure it out by looking at the results. Shader intensive games is where the 8700 shines, but look at the bandwidth, running games in high resolutions and with high AA and AF is where the 8700 crumbles.

Maybe im missing something, but all I see are a bunch of hardware facts that I could have found out by looking at the card specs -_- Could someone tell me what i'm not seeing here?

It´s a nice guide to compare card for card and specs for specs. Oh seen a 8700 in action? No need to I own a 8800GTX myself :) Now try to play Lost Planet in DX10 on your 8700M ;)
