I put a 3870 in my GX720, everything works great but it dont read temps right. It stays at 19c which is wrong. Even under load it dont go past 19c. Where is the sensor at that reads the temp? Is it built into the card?

what program did you use to read the temp? 19 C is definitely wrong. Try different programs like HWMonitor/Everrest/Rivatuner/GPUZ etc, they should all be able to read the temp of your GPU.

perhaps u should ask around the people who actually have 3870 in their laptop. I have seen quite a few people can't get programs like hwmonitor to read the temp of their ATI gpu, but most of them are mid/low end of the ATI cards like 3470/3650, i cant read the temp of my X1400 either. 3870 is a high-end card, it should have temp sensor integreted, unless of course if it's damaged, then u have your answer. Again inquire the people who actually have 3870.
