Yeah its me again :p this time with a temperature problem.

Yesterday i was playing a game for about 3 hours and my max temperature never surpassed 72 degrees Celcius.

Today, i started playing and my max temps got to 75 degrees celcius!!!!! Thats a 3C boost! Gah!

I didnt change a thing! same cooler, same clocks, same notebook.

    Any ideas?

More intensive game scene? Anyway, 3deg C is nothing to worry about. 10C and up would be cause for concern.

TO OP: 3 degree increase is normal if you are playing games, there are just too many variable, for one it could be that the room temperature increase, or that you have game a longer time today, either way, if you are really worrying about the temperature, set the fan speed to high, or use AC to make the ambient temperature lower so your cooler works better.

EDIT: I just wrote one long run-on sentence.

Alot of things could have caused the extra 3c. Warmer room temps, GPU working out more, etc.

Its nothing to worry about unless it goes say.. 7c higher than usual.

Another thing is if you're worried about temperatures for extended periods of gaming while you're playing an MMO, you could just play on Power Saver mode. For my laptop, usually I'll switch High Performance for games since it always seems to default to Power Saver, but if I play World of Warcraft, I can't notice any performance difference between the settings, but it does run a lot cooler on power saver (which makes sense).

I have the same card, similar overclock (550\800) and the exact same 3d mark 06 scores for "stock" and "oc" (700 points woot :D)

Yes its completely normal, especially for 3 hours gaming!

Funny thing is that i found older games such as civilation 4, battlefield 2 and far cry run way hotter (around 10*C) than more intensive games like crysis and oblivion!

    Anyone have any ideas why?
