i have recently tried to Overclock my 8800m gts.

OC: 635 935 1550 It stays at average 63C when i use this overclock, so it is definitely not getting damaged so thats a plus.

but if i try 650 950 1600 my card down throttles after about 10 minutes of play. Anyone know how i can get it to stop doing this. If the temps are OK i dont know what the hell the GPU is complaining about.

I have disable powermizer on AC and BATTERY buy still no luck.

For those of you who have gone over or at the same OC speed, what drivers are you using.

Make sure you are using the latest drivers (180.84). Also, the most stable and reliable overclock is done by modding the vBIOS instead of RivaTuner / nVidia Control Panel. Overclock the vBIOS, and increase the voltage while your at it, and you'll find it stable and reliable at those clocks.

hello e mike did you overclock through the bios as well.

If so what are you OC settings and how does perform compared to software overclocking.

Will i get those down throttles that i get with software overclocking.
