    Hello,
Im having this GPU usage issue since a few days.
While playing games like crysis or sleeping dogs ( all games ) my GPU Usage is not constant at 99 anymore, it falls to 50-70% after few second and goes back up to 99, Im using MSI afterburner to monitor Usage.
Problem is that while playing there is a sudden FPS drop to 20 from 50-60 and it stutters alot for a few seconds.
I didnt had this issue some days ago, However lately im changing vbios'es and drivers, and this issue came out of nowhere.
I have tried multiple drivers, performed clean installations using driver sweeper, and also tried multiple vbios'es and even default vbios and problem doesn't seem to go..

Weird thing is Benchmarks like 3dmark 11 or 3d mark Fire strike or Furmark are fine and keep constant GPU usage at 99%.

    Did i damage something?
    Any solutions please? :(

Here is Furmark in windowed mode running on a custom vbios i have right now
GPU Usage is constant at 99%
However when i go to games, GPU usage is fluctuating up and down and hence the fps drop

Update : I have been searching around a bit, could it be games poor optimization?
I mean i've been trying 3 games, Assassin Creed 3 (Boston) Sleeping dogs (while driving very fast) and Crysis (stutter when heavy stuff on screen)

I searched around and found many people have issues on such areas, so it might no be due to lower GPU usage? or maybe they are not optimized to use GPU @ 100% all the time?

Can anyone please confirm here if their GPU usage is constantly at 99% when playing heavy games or it keeps changing between 99% and 50%.
Actually the weird part is that it recently occured, everything was smooth before.

If anyone plays any of those games and noticed something similar, please tell :)

When I play empire total war my gpus are always at around 95%, but when I play Gta 4 it's at 85-90% at the beginning, after like 10 minutes it goes down to ~60, then after a while it goes back up to 90%.. This is so weird

I just checked again and both actually stay at 99% the whole time, on campaign and in battles
but gta 4 still not reaching 99% :(

GTA 4 is also very poorly optimized, that is my question from people who played those 3 games, did they see a similar pattern?
Or is my GPU issue :(

    Do you have other games?

Yeah I just tried starcraft 2 everything on ultra, I used to limit the fps to 60 and gpu usage would be at ~70% but now I disabled that and got around 85 fps and yeah the gpu usage went up to 99% aswell.. good to know that my laptop is at least working well :)

Sorry I have no more games at the moment, I was forced to remove a lot of them in order to clone windows to my SSD

I remember one thing though, when I played sleeping dogs a while ago I never experienced any fps drops

Guess i will try out some more games to reach a conclusion, meanwhile if anyone who have played either of those 3 games, i would like to know if you faced similar stutter of GPU usage problems.

Well crysis 1 and 2 and 3 for me just sit at 99% usage constantly, I don't have the other games, so can't help you with that

Can you tell me which drivers are you using?
My Crysis 1 is stuttering so badly due to constant up and downs in usage, hard to play on such random fps drops to 20.
What can be causing this, my GPU is fine since it stays at 99% usage on some other games i tried today
