This just started randomly today. I'm not exactly sure why. My GPU clock stays at max as soon as windows starts up and my temps are the same when I'm gaming even though there is literally nothing running. I've done many restarts and the same problem results upon startup. This never happened before, what's going on?

I'm on the latest Nvidia beta drivers, but I installed those a few days ago before this problem popped up.

Go to nvidia control panel, view, display gpu status in taskbar, then check your taskbar see if there are any programs running on the GPU? Otherwise its most likely because you have the performance battery profile running as well. Try balanced or power saver see if its still at maximum clocks? Which program you using to monitor clocks?
