Personally, I have tried it out. It works better and have more features. Very cool!

Thanks for the link

Nice find - I think the Video Memory Used counter is a huge improvement.
-
Still says my G105m is 40nm, has 16 shaders and is based on gt218 core... Updated drivers and gone from 0.3.6-0.3.7 and odd reports... Like the memory used part though, would be good to educate people on how little memory they might need.
-
Oh definitely - people still see a 256MB GDDR3 card and a 512MB DDR2 card, and think because the DDR2 has more memory, it'll be faster.
-
Now, no.
No matter 1GB, 2GB or 512MB of DDR2, it can't even beat a 256MB GDDR3.
This theory is for basically for Nvidia's GPUs currently.
For example:
9600M GT 512MB DDR2 is weaker than 9600M GT 258MB DDR3.
ATi's GPUs have different architecture and build. So, it needs different way to judge or compared with Nvidia's GPUs.
Yet, even in ATi, the higher or the bigger the number of the DDR, the more powerful it is. -
for some reason this version seems to force my card to 475/400...
-
Edit: I tried to find it on my GTX285 but never saw the memory used, but it does work on my laptop. -

I absolutely love the new GPU memory used option. Helps out a lot in debugging SETI@Home Beta (CUDA 2.3) application crashes.
