GRAW 2 AGEIA Island

I just got the game Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 .... to play on my laptop
Config is as follows :

There's this special map, AGEIA Island.... that is only enabled when you have an AGEIA PhysX card.... but considering AGEIA is bought by nVidia now... and also after seeing a trailer of that map, I figured out it's much like Crysis, physics wise, but just with lower graphics So is there any way or any known workaround to get this map enabled without the actual hardware ? since both a 2.5 C2D and a 8800M GTX should be more than capable of handling what that map offers IMO.. !! I googled this a bit... but to no avail!

Did you try installing the software for Ageia. It will run in software mode.

 

Yes it's installed. But the map just isn't enabled... it's grayed out I guess I need the PhyX card... *sigh*

 

When Nvidia releases drivers that include some of the PhysX code for their GPUs, you'll be able to play it using your GPU as half GPU and half PhysX card.

 

does anyone play the game online ? i bought the game a while back but uninstalled it cuz no one was playing ;\

 

Will be waiting for it then Dunno why.... since this game is pretty much crap, and as I said before, after watching the trailer for that map, it's just Crysis with half as good graphics!

Not everyone can take the one-shot-one-kill type of gameplay in it Difficulty is just OUT OF SCALE when comparing with other games... And I don't mean one shot one kill with snipers, I mean one shot one kill with just about ANY weapon in the game. Only a few fans of the ghost recon series would play it regularly.... But this game just takes the FUN out of gaming!

I guess you're just a casual gamer. I love this game truly. Accepted GRAW 2 compared to GRAW 1 isnt that great, but still.......I've heard people talk bad about GRAW only if they're noobish gamers (as in gamers w/o any substance of gaming, just shoot n get kills.....)

I suggest you play the campaign of the game.....it so intense you actually have to pause the game in between to take a breather.

Play the game and then speak.

 

What are you talking about ? I'm half way through the campaign... I'm just finishing it for the heck of it... but it's torture to me... I've played the old Operation Flashpoint... and it's ever MORE difficult, but FAR more enjoyable! Guess GRAW 2 is just not in accordance with my taste!
