    Hello.

I have downloaded the demo from Ghost recon Advanced Warfighter (1), and, with my laptop (core2duo t770, 8400gs, 2gb RAM, XP, newest drivers), I am getting 18 fps average at 800x600, and everything set to low.

dont you think it is too low for a 2 years game?

Wow that's bad! I wonder why the FPS is so low.

apparently GRAW uses a lot more power than GRAW2, but that said my old mobility radeon 9700 really struggled with GRAW2, minimum settings at 1024*768 was only just playable.

The GRAW PC games were a half-asses port from the console versions. Neither of them run great on my Desktop PC (C2D @ 2.8GHz, 7900GTO OC'd to GTX speeds).

    That's weird Deify, my desktop maxes out GRAW2 - I have a 2.1GHz AMD X2 4000+, 2GB DDR2-667 ram and an ATi X1650XT 256MB.

I don't think GRAW allows u to max it up unless u have a 512mb card

I won't be buying GRAW on the PC then. Big let down really considering how good the 360 is.

What res is that? I would agree with Deify, GRAW2 eats into my X1800XT big time at even 1280x1024! Game doesn't even look THAT great either... I couldn't even select high textures with an 8800gts, you need a 512mb card, what a joke

that sound about right for the 8400GS, with my old Go7400 I got 15-ish fps with everything on ultra low.

Try the tweaks in the advanced section of this guide. I used them probably a year ago the frame rate increase was noticeable to a point it was playing smooth.
