Made a tough decision today - to buy GRID on PC or 360.

Went 360 in the end, and also bought the 360 wheel.

I have to say, playing the single seater open-wheel class online with the wheel is honestly the best gaming experience I've ever had !

Was grid released in europe already? It's my understanding that it doesn't get released until June 3rd, at least here in the U.S. :(

I'm in the same situation BTW. I'm torn because I have a sweet HDTV/Surround sound setup for the 360, but I just put a bunch of money into my gaming PC. :D

I bought it for the PC and have been playing it since last night. Graphically the game is impressive. It looks as good or even better than on the 360 depending on your monitor.

That's my weakest link as I have a 4 year old Viewsonic LCD monitor that doesn't have the fastest refresh rates. The game is silky smooth with all graphics options MAXED out.

I LOL when I see the interfaced they chose as it looks like a rip right out of Project Gotham 3 (X360).

The only reason I buy PC games is to play them when I'm away from home, because Xbox360, 42'' Panasonic Plasma, and lying back couch with a beer in close proximity wins every time, when compared to sitting at a table with my G1S, or in the spare room with my albeit decent-spec Desktop. I played the GRID demo on my G1S for weeks and was convinced I was going to buy it, until I downloaded it for the 360 and had a good night of online play.

I don't think it's just the hardware, but more down to the environment in which the game's played, but if you do get it for the 360, then whatever you do, make sure you get the wheel :D

P.S. Yeah - European release was today (Fri 30th)

The only justification for getting the 360 version is your PC cannot run it at fairly high to almost max settings. If it can... HDMI your PC to your bigscreen and welcome to the best gaming experience possible.

PC > Console 9 times out of 10.

I have an outdated system by todays standards.

    E6750, 4GB ram, nVidia 7900 GTO (512MB)

The game runs blistering fast with ALL graphics settings on MAX and it's silky smooth. :)

I'm going to solve my problem by ordering a long DVI-> HDMI cable to send to my TV then run a long optical cable to my receiver. I think that's a fair compromise. :)

Here we go again ! - my PC can run everything max, 16 x AA, but again, 360 still wins hands down.
