Hey all. So I am trying to run GRID on my Acer 8290G (specs below) and even at a really low resolution, there is a lot of input lag. Any idea how to fix it ? or run it in windowed mode if possible? (I like to multitask :D )

    Specs: 2.4GHz core 2 duo T8300
4gb of Ram (3.2 as I have Vista 32 bit)
    Nvidia GeForce 9500M GS
1920x1080 native resolution on an 18.4" screen

i having 6920G... i think we hav same graphic card 9500MGS...
and i m GRID fan XD!!
GRID is a very very graphic intensive game...
9500MGS actually can play it LOL!
1st, download latest forceware/nvidia driver.... and install it LOL
    Open ur GRID...
go to ur graphic setting and press SHIFT...
u wil get into detail changing part... set all to low or no...
after set all to low... change resolution to WATEVER since all LOW shudnt be a problem for any kind of resolution...
multisampling set to 2x or 4x enuf...(u can even turn it off - select none)
    VSYNC turn on...
    aspect ratio ur choice...
after all apply it... the game wil restart and hav a good game LOL...

I hav 800x600 windowed mode GRID wif some high setting mixed wif some low setting...
I dont feel any lagness ^^...

What resolution are you using? I have it at 1280x800, 2xMSAA, High settings (Shadows and Reflections Medium and Particles Low settings) and it runs very nicely 22-35 fps. No lag at all, but that with the T9300. Before my CPU upgrade though, I had some problems with the T7300. Try to overclock the GPU and I think the shadows and particles can be very CPU intensive. Have you installed the last patch 1.2?
Also the latest drivers (182.xx and upwards, try Dox version are very good) give you a decent boost in fps.
In windowed mode it will be even more difficult to run the game.
Lastly, it might be helpful to update the drivers for your gamepad/wheel, don't forget to update the audio drivers as well.
    I hope these help

I'm not really sure you realize you have a 9500M GS and not a 4870*2...

don't run in windowed mode, definitely don't run at native resolution, and especially don't run in window mode close to native resolution!

Update all of your drivers, get the latest patches, close down your other programs, and run at 1280*800.

I just got grid but i played the demo maxed out @ 1366x768 except the filtering is at 8xQSCAA and get over 30 average. 9800M GS under stock drivers and clocks. Under my sig specs i should be able to max it out for sure. Ill install it after i put this T9600 in.

Clean install of the right DOX drivers might do you some good. I think the 9600M GT would play it very well not sure entirley on the 9500.

My dear ARom... My PC hav only 1366x768 max resolution...
if wan to play windowed mode... 800x600 or lower is nice...
more than 800x600 cannot alrdy... unless ur screen is big enuf...
the higher the resolution the higher the graphic nided...
Full screened mode got its disadvantages... for example:
ur screen max resolution is 1440x900...
and u run it at 800x600 full screened.... the graphic will blur off=.=....

Of 1440x900 full screen better than 800x600windowed mode
but 800x600 windowed mode better than 800x600 fullscreened blurrish mode...LOL!
9500MGS 512MB DDR2 is not strong it is a medium class card...
9800MGS shud be able to make all setting to almost high wif high resolution and great multisampling....

I'm sure i speak for everyone when i say your posts are very hard to read, they don't make sense, overuse of periods, bad spelling and hitting enter too much along with you broken english is making it very hard to understand.

Any chance of you using less periods (those "..." if you don't know what i'm talking about.) and try and spell properly. Otherwise people will mistake what you are trying to say.

    Sorry for my inconvenientness language.
This is my habit actually. I do possess a better english but not at your standard.
I used to speak chinese/manderin most of the time. It is hardly for me to speak in english. But I hope people do understand what I mean sometime.
