    Hello!!

Ive played Toca Race Driver 2 an 3 on my intel X3100 always at maxed graphics and resolution. However, i was wondering if I could do the same with new GRID game, except with setting everything to low or off. :D

Once again insults are not welcomed.

    Thanks

Grid barely ran well for me on a 8600gt on 1280x800 with medium/high. it may scale back well into low settings but it will probably look like mud.

Even at lowest settings GRID will barely cross 5-10 fps with a X3100.

I second that, I had to play on 1024x768 to get a smooth experience with my gddr2 8600m GT... Don't waste your time. Stick to Race Driver 2 and 3...

GRID will kill anything less than a 8600M GT, I can just about run it on my MBP on med, and that has a 3dmark06 of 4500.

I agree. My Go 7600 was struggling badly to run it on low-med settings.

I bought GRID, and you'll be lucky to get 10fps on a X300 with everything low. I think the game itself sucks if you truly like virtual track racing. GTR2, Race 07 and GTR Evolution are more realistic and more fun IMO.

Vicious, Is that GT GDDR3¿¿ And when you guys say "barely", "smooth" how many average fps are you talking about?

I'm asking because i want to know if the SLI really makes a diff in this game... And how much diff will it be...

I tried the demo (what the hell is up with the steering controls, lol)
My GDDR3 9200M GS can run it at 1024x768, with no AA but medium/low settings.
I googled it but cant find out how to mannually lower the resolution to 1024x640 so it is native to my screen, any help would be appriciated.

About 30fps if memory serves correctly.

1280x800 medium settings and I think some high. Had the card overclocked some too. Great cpu.

    Played fine, slow menuloading.

On battery power it was a slide show :p

DDR3 8600gt is about 30% faster so should run all high 1280x800.

But integrated like the x3100 I just do not think that is a reality.

It runs really well on my X205 SLI1, haven't had any issues at all with it... great game!

as for the X3100, I doubt it'll be enjoyable... I'm running GRID on my Tablet with the ATI HD3200, and it's fun and playable at 800x600, but that's about as low as you're gonna want to go and the HD3200 is great bit faster than the X3100 I had prior.

I run grid on my core2 2.0Ghz, 8600M GT DDR3 clocked 650/800 almost everything high, AA 8x very very smooth, even more than the same game on PS3. This game's graphics are amazing.

    2GB of DDR2 Ram
    Intel X3100

    15.4 in 1280x800
Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 (runs excellent on my laptop)

You can just windowed your GRID to 800x600 or 640x480.
    I am using GF 9500MGS 512MB-GDDR2.
I run 800x600 windowed mode, AA 4x, VSYNC turned on, many setting low and a few setting ultra and high.
It run smoothly and I am very happy XD!

To turn your GRID to windowed mode,
    go to your C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Documents\Codemasters\GRID\hardwaresettings
    Open hardware_settings_config using notepad.
Check the setting inside and you could see this,
    fullscreen="true"
You got to modify it to fullscreen="false"
    After that, save the hardware_settings_config.
    Close the hardware_settings_config.
Run your GRID, it should be windowed now.

    24-25FPS is good already.
Because the films or videos we watch are actually 24 or 25 FPS.
    Basically known as Animation.
