    Hi

I've just installed Race Driver GRID and 1.1 Update. When I launch a game, intro and main menu run extremely slow. There is like just a few frames and I can't do a thing.

My lappy is XPS M1530 with 8600M GT and clocks at 600/900 (CPU 2,4GHz, 2GB ram). I'm using 177.70 drivers and Win XP Pro with SP3.

    Any ideas ?

Guess the above post is misplaced :s???

On topic: just try another driver version for beginners... could ba a bug in the betas. Otherwise, I know GRID is a supersystem hog.... (but an 8600m GT isn't bad on the other hand..)

I've already tried 177.41 and 177.70 for this game (these are the newest and most stable). I don't wanna come back to old ones, newer drivers = better performance (checked).

newer isn't always better, for example many people stuck with 169.04 drivers instead of upgrading to the 17x.xx. You could try to disable the movies, although I'm not sure how to go about doing that.

I've had the same problem with 174.93 initially. Reinstalled the game a few days ago with 177.39 and it never went below 20fps. I'm on Vista x64 though, not sure how much of a difference that makes. Good luck.

Try lowering your settings. GRID has a tendency to default its settings pretty high on the first launch, and I almost guarantee that anyone with a 8600m GT had to lower it before they played.

Amoney is right; tell us what settings the game is running on.
