Alright so I'm tying to decide right now between two laptops to buy:

The main difference is the GPU the lenovo has the GT 130m and the toshiba has the HD 4650, also the battery life in the lenovo is a bit longer.
My questions are:
1. Does any one know if the lenovo's GT 130m uses GDDR3 or GDDR2?
2. Would the battery life be worth it to go for the GT130m if it is GDDR2 and not GDDR3
as im told ***GDDR3>DDR3>>>DDR2>>GDDR2. as GDDR2 is based on the old DDR standard.
and also that***Hd 4650 Gddr3 > Gt 130m Gddr3 > 9600m Gt Gddr3 > Hd 4650 Ddr2 > Gt 130m Ddr2 > 9600m Gt Ddr2

There is no GDDR2 being used in any current notebook. The GT 130M only comes in GDDR3 and DDR2 versions. Battery life wouldn't be affected significantly by the GPU memory type.

let me rephrase the question...
the toshiba uses DDR3 (hd 4650) and has faster graphics but a short battery life the lenovo has a GT 130m (DDR2 or 3 i dont even know and the support team wont tell me) but has an hour longer battery life (4.5 hours, or at least that what the specs say) would the trade off from a higher graphics processor to a lower one be justified by a longer battery life? -
Which is your priority, gaming or battery?
I say:
Never trade graphics power for battery, when it'll be plugged in most of the time. Take the Toshiba. -
honestly im not sure. im considering getting the toshiba and just buying a 9 or 12 cell battery. but thats and extra $100ish and im not sure if the boost in graphics is worth it... -
Considering the HD 4650 DDR3 will be better than the GT 130M hands down (either GDDR3 or DDR2), I would choose that.

Yes to both, $50 more is worth the better performance and $80 for extra battery isn't bad either.

get the better graphics toshiba. dont bother with the extra battery, just take the charger with you. if it dies, charge it. extra batteries are never worth it unless your in the middle of nowhere.
