Alright, I know I'm going to get some flak for this, but I have FPS problems on my MacBook Pro running Windows 7 Bootcamp. I'm not here to say that my MBP should be running this game flawlessly, but it does have the right specs to run it through minimum settings, especially since my friend's old ASUS laptop with older specs (older GPU, RAM, CPU) is running FFXIV at minimal settings with 40ish FPS.

The only problem that I can see this stemming from is my GPU, the Nvidia GT 650M, as I have more than enough RAM and an i7 Processor. However, I am not a hardware guy so I have no idea if my assumptions are correct.

    System Specs
    GPU: GeForce GT 650M
    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820QM CPU @ 2.70GHz
    Memory: 16.00GB RAM
    Resolution: 1900 x 1200, 60Hz
    Nvidia Driver: Version 335.23 (Updated)
    OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional

I have ran the Unigine Benchmark at EXTREME HD settings (the photo didn't save), and the results were:
    FPS: 3.2
    Max FPS: 5.0
    Min FPS: 2.0
    Time: ~190 Seconds

In game, I have tried all different kinds of settings in FFXIV, and even at minimal settings at 1280 x 800 Resolution, I get <20 FPS (which is definitely not what these specs should be showing). At optimal settings (according to Nvidia GeForce Experience), I get 15 FPS.

I am pretty sure something is up with the hardware of my computer (temperature of the GPU stays around 70c according to the Unigine Benchmark) and I have just double checked the drivers for my GPU. I found a Youtube video showing a user with the same computer as mine (early 2013 MBP Retina) running the game smoothly at decent graphic settings. Definitely shows something wrong with my computer, I'm not sure what though.

    Any help would be awesome!

Doesn't your computer have an integrated GPU? Perhaps the game is running off of that instead of your 650M.

Possibly! The Nvidia GeForce Experience program shows the GT 650M but I'll double check if it is running the integrated graphics card instead.
