    Hey NBR,

Is the GDDR3 version of the GT 650m not as good as the GTX 560m? Some bennchmarks or FPS from games between these two graphics will help. Thanks!

If you can get the gddr5 version it should be better. Either way you can oc the 650m to beat the 560m easily, 650m is far better for a laptop as it will have less heat and consume less power. Overally the 650m gddr3 should be powerful then the 560m in most games.

For 900p/1080p I think the GTX 560M could win because it has double the bandwidth. DDR3 is not suited for current 28nm mobile chips imho, it's cheap and it's more manageable for the cooling system but it's bad when you enable a few graphical settings and crank up the resolution...

Better get the GDDR5 650M or the GTX 660M.

Review Toshiba Qosmio X770-10J Notebook - Notebookcheck.net Reviews
Review Acer Aspire V3-771G Notebook - Notebookcheck.net Reviews

560m with i7 2630qm takes upto 194w compared to 112.5 watt with i7 3610qm 650m. Imo 650m is miles the better card to get and best thing is it is not a power hungry card and has same performance as 560m.

On this 650m has slight edge. Overall though the 650m for this generation is impressive performance per watt double the 560m performance per watt.

Uh still thinking about it. Right now my top two choices are the MSI GE60 or the ASUS N56VZ.

The GE60 would be a better choice as far as performance goes. It has the GDDR5 version.

If I go with the MSI GE60 I'm going to get the GTX 660m one. Only thing is some people seem to dislike the plastic chassis of it and I know the ASUS has better material.

Yeah the plastic "feel" a little cheap.. but its 200$ less than Asus... but asus has the backlight keyboard and a slighty better cooling system...

Its always a question of what is your budget... performance/price...

Yea I already know what I get between the two..

MSI=better performance, slightly lighter but cheaper material.

    Asus=weaker but better build.

Megabud I see your sig says you own a GE60. Whats your experience so far with the chassis? How's the speakers on it?

Great i use it at work 4 nights a week...

The case is fine... but if you force it, it might do some squishy sound... but its the same thing with a cellphone or anything in plastic...

The 4 speakers are great... quality is very good...

For the price it is a great machine..

The only thing i would like is a backlight keyboard... but it doesnt worth the +200$ for an Asus...

You cant go wrong with this machine if you plan on playing games at "normal-high" graphics... the gtx 660m have plenty of power for todays gaming... and you can push her for another 10-20% if you get a lucky card :)

Also the machine is dead silent for internet browsing or watching a movie...
