Hello, I have had a computer with an nvidia card (gt 540m) for about a year, i hadnt played games on it or anything, but now im giving to my brother who is a little gamer, he plays games like assassins creed III and Fifa14 and things like that, not extreme

So the issue is this, in AC3 he puts settings on the low(still looks ok) and plays on 720p and FPS is around 25-40 but sometimes while it is 30 for example it drops to 10-15 for a couple of seconds and goes back up after it, then comes back down, and keeps going on like this.

It isnt because of heat because it happens always even when he hasnt play for 5 straight minutes, and it just doesnt seem to go away, and it happens in all games he has tried.

Its so sad to see the laptop capable of playing the game but throttling like this.

I have searched online and found many people having this issue on this card but didnt find any working results.
So i said why not ask it somewhere :)

    Hope u could help
    Merry Christmas
    Yousif
