How BIG is the difference between these two video cards? Is there any game that is playable in gtx 560m but NOT in gt555m? Cause i was planning to buy an alienware M14x BUT i saw this laptop, Msi GT683R. The Msi is slightly cheaper than the M14x but the Msi has 4gb ram more and bigger screen(1080p/15in.) and everything will be the same. And i'm talking about i5's here. I was also wondering about the battery life of Msi laptops and the heat it produces since i have this friend of mine who bought an Msi and the battery life SUCKS and it goes hot on the KEYBOARD. So, if you guys have any informations about the Msi, it would be helpful.
Any advice from you guys would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

560M is much better with higher resolutions. Can`t remember how much.
And I would pick the GT683R because the GT555M crammed inside the small M14x chassis is a too bold move considering thermals. Look at the Alienware forum and you will see that the M14x is one LOUD machine because of this. -
I've been reading here since last month every single day.
But i've been focusing on the M14x because that's what i'm planning to buy but when i read about it's vc, it kinda pulled me down to buy it. Hmm. I'm also a bit worried about the battery life since if it sucks, then it's not going to be portable anymore. Tbh, i really don't care how loud the fan of the M14x is a long as it'll perform good enough. I just want something that would last for 3-4 years time and can play all games within those range of years REGARDLESS of the graphics(medium/high/ultra) as long as it's playable as well.
Thank you for replying! -
560 is quite a bitter faster, so you would be able to run stuff are higher settings.

The 560M is much better especially at higher resolutions. Also if you can get the MSI GT780DSX. Its got GTX570M which is better then 560M and its about $1300.

Oh. Is i5 okay? Cause the i5 costs about $1140 dollars(Msi GT683) and the i7 is $2330. It's that MUCH of a difference in price so i'm just considering the i5. I think that model, GT780DSX isn't here in my country yet, not sure though. But the i7's here are REALLY expensive. Thank you for replying!

I5 is more than fine for now, plus it's really easy to upgrade later.
Check to see if there is a 683DXR as it also has the 570M. -
It's not worth 1000$+ more, but normally it will bump up the price by maybe 100$ or so, I'm not sure what laptops you are looking at? Must be alot more that differs.

it's the GT780R which is an i7 2630QM and the only difference is, the CPU which is an i7 and the hdd which is 1tb and then everything is pretty much the same. Oh it's 17 in. too.

those are quite a few differences. the screen itself is one of the most expensive parts in a laptop.

I've checked that too but it isn't available though. All of the i7's here in the Philippines are worth more than $1800++ and believe me, it's not worth it.
