I installed GTA 4 on my Aspire 7520G and got totally owned. Even the minimal settings cause great lag n the gameplay seems like a slideshow, lol. T_T
I have emo_uninstalled it at once, but thought 'bout zee drivers I'm usin': haven't checked for the new versions of those for a few months.
Tryin' to find the new drivers and see what's happennin'. -
180.84's really made the game faster than my previous 180.70's. Try 180.84.

Ansus is there any way to update your AMD processor?

Your original post makes no sense and the GTA4 videos you linked to are TERRIBLE.
-
Well it's Red_Dragon, most of his posts don't make sense

Myth: Rockstar QA tested the PC port of GTA IV for " hundreds and hundreds of hours".

Qaz....dont get me started
lol kevin jack
these are "MYTHS" as in things people say are in the game that most likely are not im sorry this is so hard to comprehend -
-
Well for a start all of the videos could have been edited down into a 2min gameplay montage, but instead you have loads of insanely boring videos which are 90% crap untill it gets to the actual point of the video... which is usually just some weird little random noise from the game that no-body (should) care about.
Don't take us so seriously though:tongue: -

lol you are right maybe i was being a bit to serious but i love the way they did it by showing the intro and all that stuff the primary reason i posted this was to see if anyone was interested in looking at these myths and also they are claiming that there are some new Easter eggs and such in the PC version hopefully something cool comes out of it
-
The heart in the middle of the statue of liberty (or whatever it's called in the game) was interesting, but again sitting through a 6 minute video just to get a look at it was... frustrating.
This game looks really cool though, definatly ahead of it's time physics wise.
I may build a core i7 desktop sometime in the near future, when this recession eases off, and hopefully the game will be patched up and running well on the pc -
I was pointing to your original post before you edited it. It lacked periods which was confusing and the grammar was terrible.
-
Still doesn't make much sense
This is what it should say:
Hey guys,
Me and my friend play xbox too much and, in search of some attention and more-over justification of what we spend all of our time doing, we have uploaded some insanely boring videos to yootoobe.

I still remember when San Andreas came on the PC in 2005, there was a flood of people all over the internet claiming to see Bigfoot and Aliens. And this time, people are still out of ideas trying to run this pathetic excuse of a game. How ironical and what a steep fall for Rockstar from that high pedestal of gaming.
-
It runs just fine on my 8800 GT desktop. Haven't tried it on my 3650, but I imagine it will run okay as along as draw distances are shortened. -

nah that isnt me or my friend i dont even know that guy
Pranalien lol!!! Bro the bigfoot was real you had to shoot that guy like 1000 times to kill him with the most powerful gun he was actually in the woods...
Also you dont believe there are aliens in this game when alien is in your name -
Well since this is a LAPTOP forum, I think that most people are going to have trouble running the game. Laptops are far weaker than desktops.
That said, the game runs OK for me. Not great, not fantastic, but merely passable.
(Apart from the fact that I have to restart the game every 10 mins to avoid the texture crashing issue. What a pain....) -
Yes, notebooks are generally configured less powerfully than gaming desktops. My point exactly though about these silly posts complaining that "Rockstar sucks so bad I can't play GTA4 on my laptop wah wah I wasted $50". Big surprise that GTA4 isn't working all that great on notebooks. GTA3 should run pretty well for most mid-range laptop cards. The fact that it can't be run full specs on a mid-range laptop card isn't the fault of rockstar. It's the hardware for goodness sake. -
And to add, my name has that alien tag because I believe we all are aliens crapped out into this planet from some inter galactic world.
