Guys, I dont know if you read my last post, I got it to run! So basically, I proved you wrong when you said "YOUR CPU IS TOO WEAK TROLOLOL". Another question, Minecraft is having the same problem. It won't recognize my nVidia Graphics card. I whitelisted it already so, any help?
-
What settings do you play GTA IV at? And what is your avg. fps? Care to share?
-
I assumed you had a Dual core CPU and not a Quad core (now that read your signature). So to begin with you should've not any problem. Then.. what was the problem? Was it Optimus? Some driver? Was the laptop set to save energy?
Also: what did you prove? It has been well-known that a quad-core is necessary for a smooth experience with GTA IV. And you should've pointed you were working with the laptop on your signature (well, actually: is it or are you using some other?). -
I'm playing on medium settings now, and I'm getting around 30-ish FPS
It was Optimus. I read some forums on nVidia's website and people were complaining about Optimus with GTA IV. And It was the laptop on my sig. The Alienware not the dell (LOL). Oh and any help on the Minecraft problem? -
Ah, that is medium isin't bad.
Don't to get back to square 1 agian, but isin't the issue with GTA IV and Minecraft the same? So, can't you solve it same way? -
Ya its the Optimus. But I know have new drivers for nVidia and Minecraft doesn't really get patches...
-
Okay, so you fixe GTA IV by updating your driver?
-
Ya, but i'm on the newest driver now.
-
Lastest driver by nvidia has given me the best performance in GTA IV so far. See here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/gam...rde-280-26-release-9th-aug-2.html#post7831228
