    GTA IV cd error?

    *edit* title should read "GTA IV cd-KEY error?"

    I just bought the GTA IV pack during the mid-week Steam sale, booted it up, and Games for Windows Live is asking for the cd key to the game. So I fill it out, click confirm, and keep getting error messages even though it's typed in correctly. I can still play the game regardless of being signed in or not, but will this affect my ability to save the game and/or play online? Has anyone else had this problem before?
