PC gamer Malaysia? I didn't know a such thing existed :p but anyway it was invertible! This is all we have to go on for the mean time, as well as this article http://kotaku.com/5026952/rumor-prank-results-in-half+assed-confirmation-of-gta-iv-for-pc.

Could it be true? Time will only tell, but come on guys? is this a big surprise? Personally I can't wait for MTA or whatever, just 100 players instead of 16 would be fun!

Well the PC versions of Vice City, GTA 3 and San Andreas were pretty good from what I remember, so I'm sure they'll port the 360 version over which is superior and easier than porting the PS3 version, because it's a lot like coding a PC!

I'm sure Rockstar won't disappoint, I'd buy this if them mods were good, 100 player MP would rock like GTA:SA!

they probably already have the PC version out, it was probably easier to make it for PC and then port to the consoles just liek Capcom admitted doing with DMC4

Thats cool, but I always thought GTA/Sandbox games are better enjoyed with a good controller, and a BIG 1080p TV with surround sound.

    But thats just me

I played GTA 3/San Andreas on PC (then got rid of it), again GTA's are best enjoyed with a big ass screen, a good controller, and a comfortable couch.

But, it will sell as always.

    FPS, RTS = PC

Sandbox, Sports, Platform, Racing, Hack & Slash, Adventure = Console

Well to be fair I havent played that much of GTA4 (which was much better in the regard) on the 360. And if I want to play it on a big screen, all I need to do is buy a 360 controller for the pc and hook up the ol HDMI cable and I can likely play it on a 1080p screen in 1080p resolution :). Or at least 720p with maxed settings.

    1080p res? Pff go 1200p! :D

360 draw distance, viewed in HD on a big screen is pretty meh when you are high up. PS3 seems to be a bit worse in regards to that, argue all you want the PC is the better version, what with PC mods for San Andreas giving you the ability to see the entire state at once anytime!

Now, is this going to have the DLC that is coming to the 360? Considering Microsoft bought exclusive rights to the episodic DLC coming in late 2008/early 2009, I hope the PC version will get it too, I think it will be classified as "Games for Windows"??

Hopefully, there won't be any pop-in, I played both the PS3 and 360 versions and the 360 suffered from pop-in, especially when I was in the gun shops, the room would be empty and I'd have to wait a few seconds for everything to pop-in the room. My 360 doesn't have the HDD though.

Most of the PC owners will download this anyway .. >_>

Though I enjoy playng it on my Playstation 3, it wouldn't be bad on PC. Hopefully they'll add some extra content too. (Not those X360 lame mission DLC's). :p

Exactly what I'm hoping for! If they do what they are doing with Fallout 3's exclusive DLC, then PC gamers will get a nice addition, and that means I won't have to rebuy GTA IV on 360 if the DLC turns out to be more amazing than expected!

Silly SILLY rahulnirmal! :p Buying a Core/Arcade! Elites ftw! ;)

    What did they reveal again?

That's just a photo of a magazine. I can make a magazine cover in 20 minutes. Give me 2 more days and I'll set up a nice website with a community and all that...

And the Rockstar "scammers" didn't actually scam anything. Read about it in the 558+ pages of this thread:

more like they built the source code on PC's and then made ports to BOTH the xbox 360 and ps3.

but whatever makes you feel good i guess.

i think someone else mentioned this already with respect to DMC4.

Thank you for proving that you're just a immature child, that's all we needed. :)

That site was created 2002 and it's an offical page of PC Gamer Malaysia.
    Same to you dumb****.

The post you quoted from "Offical forum" is a post made by a member, not by a Rockstar staff.
So you have offically failed now. >:]

Why? Noticed the other threads? They discuss the magazine's every release.

Can't believe I forgot about the mouse.....

XBOX 360 is a PC, so it's like coding from PC to PC...lol. That should not be a problem at all.

I'll agree with the big screen and couch, but when it comes to shooting, nothing ever beats the mouse. Racing games on the other hand...keyboard?....forget about it.

Why would anyone think that GTA4 for PC is a hoax? :nah: Every other GTA title came out for PC. It's just a matter of time.....

    Good News GTA4 for PC :D .

I liked PC version of GTASA better than the console, probably because I still own a traditional TV set and when put in comparision with my laptop screen, it is obvious which one wins. ;)

Also, I like the ability to have AA, and longer draw distance...

That's pretty much completely incorrect. They try to abstract it so the libraries are similar/the same, but the 360 is most certainly quite different from a PC. For starters, the system architecture is completely different. Do yourself a favor and look up "PowerPC vs X86". Or "RISC vs CISC". Or "big endian vs little endian". You can develop and test code for a 360 on a PC, but you have to run it on an emulation layer. They are most certainly different machines.

OMFGZ I'm wetting myself over this! Oh. No. Wait. I'm not, must be because I'm an adult :p

Personally I think the GTA series is boring now, GTA 3 was good as it was the first fully 3D outing of the game, Vice City was good as well, but SA was just too huge and boring and personally I don't indentify with the Gangsta crap that was central to the game.

I'll probably buy this (or at dl a demo if there is one), I just hope it's not as huge and boring as SA was...

well, xbox 360 has directx 9, which makes part of the programming easier, unless 360 coders really mess up their programming, and the pc coderes would have to really recode everything

I'm sorry if I was politically incorrect......

When I first got SA for XBOX, I thought it was going to be the same thing, but with all the new features, I was impressed once again. But people have different tastes, so to each his own. I'm not into the whole Gangsta thing either, but I thought that SA did it on a tasteful basis. Check out Saints Rows; that had me cracking up because the gansta thing is so overdone that it just becomes hilarious.

Arom was just stating his preference.

Great now I will finally be able to play the game without any horrendous frame drops a la Xcrap 360, which by the way I own and I own GTA IV too. However the inferior hardware of the Xcrap 360 just can´t cope with GTA IV with smooth framerates.

If you think the framerate is bad on the 360 version, the PS3 can be much much worse. I think Rockstar did a grand job on the 360, without scaling back the resolution unlike the PS3 version.

Can we not trash talk the XBOX 360? It might not be as powerful as the PS3, but it's a great system nevertheless. I played GTA4 on the 360 and it's great. The PC will do better, but it doesn't make it the console version "crap".

Duhhh!! Get a 32" HDTV, then you can appreciate seeing the "xcrap" and it's juicy HD details! :)

Theories and "possible" potential do not make it more powerful, there are few instances where the PS3 really shows how powerful it can be, granted Killzone 2 looks pretty, but extreme motion blur and advanced animation isn't exactly something that can only be done on one console.

My brother saw both games played on a projecter, 90" something inches, and the 360 had a stronger framerate, while the PS3 was dropping more, and its fps wasn't as fixed as the 360's was. He said textures were slighty more detailed on the 360, and that's coming from a hardcore console hating PC fanboy! :p

I would agree that the Xbox is orders of magnitude closer to a PC than the PS3, but there are definite differences. Especially when you start talking about storage and networking APIs. Remember, there is a whole lot more than just the graphics engine that ties a product to a platform.
