Anyone know if there's a savegame I could download or get off anyone that has just Los Santos complete? I have completed Los Santos about 3 times (no cheats of course) but for various reasons never got further and I can't really be bothered to complete Los Santos AGAIN!

    Cheers!

Lol it's ok, I found one with savegames after every mission, downloaded one with the mission just before the badlands. Hopefully it'll work! Will let you know.

Haha, that has got to be the best post I've seen all day. It's not just "I iust posted to say I don't have the answer", but "I posted to say that I already posted saying I don't have the answer! :D

    Brilliant ;)

But anyway... I can't be much more helpful. There are a few savegames here, but it doesn't say how far into the game they are. I googled it, and found a ton of savegames... For the PS2 version... ;)
Still, google it and see if you can't find anything.

So yeah, that's probably the best I can do. (Remember to take backups of your savegames when you format your computer or buy a new one ;))

Ya know Jalf I always disliked you because you seemed like a know-it-all, was smarter than me, and your posts were always too long for me to read, but I appreciate the sense of humor, it was quite funny. I now officially like you, horray! ...o god ive been on all day see what happens. Nice advice, when in doubt, google!

My problem is not finding savegames but now getting them to work! They either just start from the beginning again or crash the game to desktop. ANyone got any experience with this?

Might be because the savegames are for different versions of the game? (Is your installation patched up to the most recent version? If not, try that, otherwise, try with an unpatched installation)

That's my best bet, at least.

hehe, good luck with that. I haven't played it for ages. Can't even remember how far I got. And now I've got a stack of 5+ other games I have to play through before I'm going back to it... Might be unrealistic to expect to ever finish it...

So, did patching solve the problem?

It won't let me patch, it says original file not found but file with same name found so it wont patch!

Um, weird... Sure it's teh right version of the game and the right version of the patch?

There might be different versions for different regions, so sometimes, you need different patches depending on whether you're in the US or Europe.

And also, some patches only work from specific versions (You need to apply the 1.0-1.1 patch before you can apply the 1.1-1.2 one)

Yeah, i have the EU 1.01 patch. I think it may be because I updated my main.scm file to try to get the savegame working.

Gonna try a cpl more things.

Edit: just tried a cpl things and I think the problem is my gat_sa.exe which is weird coz I haven't touched it. Maybe I do have the wrong patch but I don't know what version I have and it doesn't say anywhere!

Ya know Jess, my good advice for the day is to stop trying to patch the game and just play it lol. All this time trying to patch, and you be where you wanted to be in the game.

Wasnt telling her to quit, just offering a counter strategy. Both achieve the same ends.

Well, first off I'm not cheating as I already completed Los Santos and I just want to get back to where I was! Second off (lol) I have decided to do exactly that! My goal is to complete SA from the start (as much as poss) this christmas holiday, starting from, well 2 days ago! Gonna take a while, today I didn't even get any missions done, just getting some decent threads for my CJ, completing the grocery store asset, going to the gym, getting some food, getting some nice cars and bikes in my garage, stocking up on guns and body armour. That took long enough!

Oh yeah... found a Super GT (Ferrari F50 I think it's based on) in Los Santos. Don't recall ever seeing one in L.S. before but there it was so i nicked it and now it's in my garage! Also tried a bike that's called a BF400 but looks like a Triumph Speed Triple. Gonna make it my goal to have one of every bike in a Garage somewhere :D
