I have the laptop in my sig, and its 260m is stuck on full clocks. Even on battery it won't downclock. My old Asus G50vt with an 9800m would downclock when not playing games. But this one won't even downclock on battery.

I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers and 64 bit Windows.

These are the clocks: core 500mhz memory 800mhz shader's 1250mhz

Is that something I have to download, or is it part of the driver?

Search the Asus forums for "powermizer switch" and download the file that comes up. With that you can activate powermizer when on battery or whenever you want.

    Cheers!

hmm...... I have the latest modded driver from laptopvideo2go on the weakling go7300 & used to have ur bug on the latest nvidia release till I found out the problem

so when you download the modded inf with this driver it will have some name I don't remember so try to find a modded inf for any early release with the name nv_disp I used that on the latest release and it was from an early one and it downclocked to 2D clocks when the card wasn't under stress

Do you think it could be a 64 bit issue? I wouldn't mind using 32 bit, if it fixes it.

    EDIT: no difference with 32-bit.

Hey guys, thanks for the powermizer, it works great! Its coming in very handy, I forgot my laptop's power cord and I wanted to play MW2. I found a 75 watt power cord, but my 260m draws 75 watts by itself. Powermizer is helping me keep my video card wattage down, and now I'm playing MW2 :)

    Thanks :)

Well, it wasn't part of my video card/driver.
