    Hi All,

I have been searching (both this website and others) for benchmark statistics for the 570m and 580m compared back to back. Here is my present situation.

I'm a hardcore competitive gamer who is privileged enough to be in the FireFall beta, which is an MMO/FPS with persistent world. The game will support eSports which I intend to play in. I already have a beast desktop for competition.

However, my challenge is that I am busy on the weekends, usually not at the house, so I need a mobile gaming platform that can handle the game at a smooth FPS (at 1366x768, don't need to go larger) on the road.

I have two MSI models with i7QM processor, but I am between the 570m and 580m. The price jump to the 580m is around $400. I am questioning whether that is justified for performance or not.

    Thanks for your help!

Why not look at an 8150 with a 6990? The 6990 and 580 are virtually the same (unless ntrain comes in a tries to dispute it). I'm too lazy to look at your What Notebook Should I Buy thread, not sure why you're opposed to the Sager.

Because they ended up being the same price, and the GTX 580m is rated a little higher. Its nothing against the brand at all.

Also are there benchmark reviews on the 570m, 6990m, and 580m?

here is a link to the xoticpc.com MSi notebook

    FORCE 1761 / MSI 1761 - XOTIC PC

add the i7 and GTX 580m.

Is that a good notebook model? It seems significantly less than any compeitors offering the same hardware.

I'm just concerned though that either A)its a crappy quality machine or B) that its a misprint in price, because you guys are a right, there aren't too many machines for that price point with a 580m.

nope the price is right, I am pointing to that machine past 2 months for everybody asking a new laptop, even < 1k with 570m is crazy price, < 1.5k with 580m and i7 sandy is plain simple ridiculous

MSI usually makes pretty decent quality laptops.
