Techinferno have outdone themselves. Great review for everyone who would like to see how the 680M perform vs 580M SLI (+OC) and most importantly, with the super stable VBIOS that unlocks GTX 680M potential.

Looks like the 680M have become so strong with the VBIOS that some of the games are actually bottlenecked by the CPU

Its very clear that Nvidia underclocked/undervolted the 680M too much, thats for shure. They could offer a lot more.
But with the support from modders we can overcome the limits :)

This is the first review (other than from NBR) with Saltius VBIOS results.

Just as a reminder to the folks who are not aware of the different clocks you see in the review:
The first "stock 680M" is with stock VBIOS you get from Clevo. The "680M OC" is with Saltius VBIOS at stock clocks. The other one is with Saltius VBIOS but with max overclock +135MHz for GPU clock, and extra 150MHz for GDDR5.

This thread probably would have been better put in one of the 5 other existing 680m threads.

Anyhow, it's a great comparison and the sheer power of one card vs SLI 580Ms is impressive to say the least. Furthermore it's a Clevo 680M was tested in a M18x R1, not a Dell card.

I updated my benchmarks to show stock (719/1800) vs stock OC (854/2250) vs. Saltius at 1000/2400

Since this thread is merely a review, it doesn't require commentary. Therefore it is closed. Refer to the other 680M overclocking threads.
