Hello, I asked a friend to get me a laptop from canada and he will most likely buy me a G750JW with 765M, I will know what he buyed soon.
(I asked for JM with maxwell but he doesnt want to command it online, he just want to get it from store the old fashioned way)

Anyway, I'll have to stick with a Kepler (768 cores) 765M in 2014 lol, so the only solution is to overvolt it a little and squezze at least stock 860M performance.

Is there any tutorial explaining how to do it so i can be ready when it comes.

Is it risky ? The laptop CANT be RMA'd after it comes here in Tunisia.

edit : After some digging, it seems the ASUS lappies vbios'es arent easy to mod. non standard MXM thing. Anyway..

a 765m with a modded vbios can overclock very, very high. I have a vbios that unlocks voltages and clocks, but its for s dell 765m. When I had a system with dual 765m's I was hitting 9700 gpu score in fire strike and close to 12k gpu in 3dmark 11. This was +375 core and + 1000 memory at 1.2v

I'll have to find an ASUS one, but I'm seeing proofs of its presence around the net +175 core and more.. @ stock voltage.

it didn't burn because it was in an alienware 18 chassis. I ran it like that for several months no issues. Sold the system, and now have an AW18 with dual 770's. The cooling system on this machine is extremely good.

The ASUS cooling design is superb, right up there with the Alienware. Get an unlocked vBIOS and let that 765M fly!

No ing way, mine with a modded bios, and it can only hit 220core and 800~900 memory clock.
K, I guess I have power issues, my cards throttle, got any idea how to overcome that?
